Advantages of single-cavity injection molds
Single-cavity molds have the following advantages.
● Lower mold manufacturing cost compared to multi-cavity injection molds
● Single-cavity molds are easy to design and manufacture
● Molders and toolmakers have more control over the injection molding process. As a result, the quality of the injection, and quality of the molded part is improved.
● Sometimes, two single-cavity molds are preferred over one two-cavity mold. This is because under failure conditions, one injection mold can still operate.
