Stack Mold or T Molds

Stack molding is really any process that uses multiple mold surfaces to make two or more parts in rapid succession. While a traditional single-part mold uses two molding surfaces to make one part, a stacked mold may use three molds to make two parts, or stack more parts in a single production cycle. The number of molds depends on the size and complexity of the finished product.

Product Introduction

What is stack molding?

Stack molding is really any process that uses multiple mold surfaces to make two or more parts in rapid succession. While a traditional single-part mold uses two molding surfaces to make one part, a stacked mold may use three molds to make two parts, or stack more parts in a single production cycle. The number of molds depends on the size and complexity of the finished product.

When is it most useful?

For parts that must be produced together, stack molding production ensures an exact number of matching parts.

For high volume parts, where multiple products are produced with the same injection size, stack molding can increase production time and the cost savings outweigh any increased tooling costs.

For larger finished parts, stack molding allows them to be broken into smaller parts. These savings in tooling costs can be realized by using smaller and less costly molds, and the dual process nature of the stack molding process does not sacrifice production time as much as a traditional single mold process.

Why choose us?

Putting our flexibility Working for you

Flexible thinking

Our experts will analyze your design to see if a traditional mold, stack molding or other process will ultimately meet your budget and deadline. We look at the possibilities to ensure you meet your budget and delivery.

Flexible Design

We don't just consider cost savings for a design that is designed as-is. Our engineers go a step further and consider whether design tweaks can better control cooling to speed production. Sometimes, creating real cost savings can mean completely changing the approach to production to speed up delivery and save money.

Flexible Delivery

Revere Plastic Systems has stack molding capabilities , so you can count on us to meet your deadlines, no matter what. With our vast engineering and production capabilities, we can go from prototype to production in a matter of days.
