How To Judge The Quality Of Plastic Molds

May 02, 2022

The use of extrusion plastic molds is common today. If you don't notice the quality problem when you choose, it will seriously affect the normal use later.

First of all, we must check the thickness of the mold when choosing. Although the mold does not need to use excessive force or other harsh environments, the plastic mold will be easily worn and deformed due to the frequent mold release phenomenon. The basis for solving these problems is to widen the thickness of the mold, so in the process of selecting the mold for the injection mold manufacturer, we can analyze the quality of the mold from the thickness.

Second, look at the specifications of the extrusion die. Good molds can control the size of extruded plastic products, resulting in errors of a few millimeters, while poor molds often produce product errors of several millimeters or even centimeters.

Again, look at the material and workmanship of the entire mold, a good mold should be very smooth inside and out, look shiny, and feel a little wet, and a poor mold may have burrs or pits on the surface, both of which are high.
