What Are The Processes Of Plastic Injection Mold Processing

May 03, 2022

What are the processes of plastic injection mold processing? This is a question that everyone who wants to make plastic injection molds wants to know. Only by understanding these can we have a good understanding of the progress of mold processing and control the delivery time. Just because there are many mold processing methods, including concept drawings, mold opening, production, etc.

Plastic materials are widely used in the mold industry, accounting for more than 60%. When it is necessary to process plastic molds, many customers will give priority to mold factories, because the mold industry here started earlier and has accumulated rich experience.

1. Reasons for the shortage of materials in the plastic shell of the earphone

1. The pressure of the injection molding machine is insufficient, and the injection time is too short.

2. Insufficient pressure in the mold means that the injection pressure loss is too large during the injection cycle.

3. Insufficient fluidity of materials.

4. Poor air escape in the cavity.

5. The gate is unbalanced (when a mold has multiple cavities).

Note: 1. The lack of material is generally determined by the shape of the mold and the fluidity of the material. When there is a shortage of material due to the setting of molding conditions, the setting of molding conditions should be set in the direction of good material fluidity, that is, to increase the mold temperature and barrel temperature, and increase the injection speed and injection pressure.

2. When the exhaust design in the cavity is not clever, it is difficult for the air in the mold to escape. In addition to causing the product to be short of material, it is also the cause of the product's stickiness and fusion marks.

Second, the solution

1. Immediately: increase the temperature of the mold and the barrel, increase the injection pressure, and add a gas escape groove (depth 0.02~0.04mm) to the parting surface with a width of 5~10mm.

2. Short-term: increase the gate and increase the flow edge (overflow). In the case of a large number of injections per mold, the gate of the cavity will be enlarged if the cavity is short of material, and the configuration of the flow edge will be changed, and the gas escape pin will be added to improve the finish of the mold.

3. Long-term: avoid designing different thicknesses of products, add gates where the thickness of the products is thick, understand the occasions when using the plastic shell of the earphones, and try to use materials with good fluidity if appropriate.
