How To See If Car Interior Parts Are Used
Apr 30, 2022
Many car owners are worried about the encounter with the old car. Especially now that there are so many black-hearted businesses, consumers must be more careful.
1. Check the product logo. The factory name, factory address, contact number and other signs of genuine products are clear, and the outer packaging quality is good, the writing inside and outside the box is clear, and the overprint color is bright. The quality of the outer packaging of counterfeit and shoddy products is often poor, the writing on the inside and outside of the box is not clear, the color of the overprint is turbid, the trademark pattern is blurred, and the outer packaging of some fake and shoddy products is also decolorized.
2. Check the certificate attached to the product. According to the national regulations on important parts of automobiles, such as carburetors, engines, distributors, generators, gearboxes, etc., the factory must be accompanied by product manuals and certificates to guide the installation and debugging during repair and post-maintenance. Counterfeit and shoddy products do not have these accompanying documents, especially refurbished parts removed from scrapped vehicles.
3. Check the product price. Consumers can inquire about the price of the same type of auto parts through the Internet or contact other merchants. Through price comparison, they can roughly distinguish the authenticity of auto parts. The price of fake and inferior products is much lower than the price of genuine products, and even the price difference reaches dozens of times. If it is found that the price of the purchased accessories is significantly lower than the market price, or the merchant's purchase channel is abnormal, it is mostly fake and shoddy products.
4. Check the detailed features of the product: First, look at the anti-counterfeiting mark of the product. There are mainly two types of anti-counterfeiting methods that are used more: one is the anti-counterfeiting code. Some auto parts are provided with a silver coating on their outer packaging or on the certificate and instruction manual. Scratch off the coating and there will be a set of numbers, which can be sent to the manufacturer through SMS to verify the authenticity. The second is fixed coloring. The coloring of some auto parts is fixed as a special mark for their products. Next, look at the joints of the parts. There are several types of joints between parts, such as press fitting and welding. For any component that is composed of two or more than two components, the joints are not allowed to have looseness and clearance.
