What Knowledge Affects Injection Mold Processing
Apr 21, 2022
The plastic bottle injection mold consists of a movable mold and a fixed mold. The movable mold is installed on the movable template of the injection molding machine, and the fixed mold is installed on the fixed template of the injection molding machine. During injection molding, the movable mold and the fixed mold are closed to form the gating system software and cavity. When the mold is ejected, the movable mold and the fixed mold are separated to facilitate the removal of plastic products.
Although the structure of the mold may vary due to differences in the type and characteristics of plastics, the shape and structure of the injection mold for plastic parts, and the type of injection molding machine, the basic structure is the same. The mold shell is mainly composed of gating system software, temperature control system software, forming parts and structural parts. Among them, the gating system software and forming parts are part of the direct contact with the plastic, and change with the plastic and the product. It is the most complicated part of the mold, the change is large, and the production and processing are required to be smooth, clean, and accurate.
The gating system software refers to the part of the flow channel before the plastic bowl injection mold enters the cavity from the nozzle, including the flow channel, the cold material cavity, the runner and the glue inlet. Formed parts refer to various parts that make up the appearance of products, including movable molds, fixed molds and cavities, cores, forming rods and their air outlets.
gating system software
The gating system software is also known as the runner system software, which is a set of feeding safety channels that lead the plastic melt from the nozzle of the injection molding machine to the cavity. . It can directly affect the forming quality and productivity of plastic products.
Popular channel: It is a safe channel connecting the injection nozzle of the injection molding machine to the runner or cavity in the mold shell. The top of the popular channel is concave to facilitate docking with the nozzle. The diameter of the inlet of the popular channel should be slightly larger than the diameter of the nozzle (0.8mm) to prevent overflow and avoid the disconnection of the two due to the prohibition of docking. The diameter of the inlet depends on the size of the product, generally 4-8mm. The diameter of the runner needs to be expanded inward to present a viewing angle of 3° to 5°, which is convenient for the ejection of the runner excess.
